"Halloween all done"

The words of Daniel today. He said it almost resignedly because we had a good Halloween.
Before the rest of Halloween madness, here are two other random pictures.

Our ward had a Halloween party a week before, so we got the kids dressed up early. I know I am biased, but they rocked their costumes.
I think her tights were my favorite part.
Grandma Julie made the 'Somerhalder' for the back of Daniel's costume (the rest of it came from Costco- both their costumes did in fact).
He LOVED his costume and wanted to wear the entire thing- it was all pretty bulky but he kept everything on.

One night, we went to a pumpkin patch in Henderson. It had pumpkins everywhere (of course it wasn't a real patch, but it was pretty well done in all my vast pumpkin experience). There were fair games as well. We went with some friends and the boys had a blast.

By the end of the night Daniel was SO tired and spent. So, we took pictures of him crying. That is his pumpkin. The next day he was very excited about it and carried it around the house. He wanted me to ask him where he got it from so he could respond, "the pumpkin patch!!"
I made a Halloween house with some friends. It was very fun!
My sister Jen made her adorable leggings. A little Christmasy but she was adorable.
My mom found an adorable Halloween onesie for Lenna. I went a little crazy taking pictures of her in the outfit (there are probably 20 that I saved). Bum shot!

Aaron carved a freaky face in a big pumpkin we got at the pumpkin patch. We took pictures of Lenna inside it but they were on my mom's camera and now my email and I haven't downloaded them yet. So sorry you missed them- they are very cute.
Our Halloween dinner- a snake! Daniel helped me "paint" it with egg yolk and food coloring. It looks more like the creepy worms from Tremors, but we still ate it. :)

Family shot. It's hard to tell but Aaron was a firetruck. I wore my mom's Japanese kimono- trying to go for a flower look (to dorkily complement our children's costumes)

These next are mainly for Grandma Julie. She has a liking for bathtub pics (who doesn't really). This was my first attempt bathing Daniel and Lenna alone. It went pretty well until I tried to wash Daniel and then Lenna fell under the water- after that she was done. Note to self- next time remove Lenna before washing Daniel.

The only picture of both of them looking. Between calling their names, reaching out to steady Lenna and telling Daniel to be gentle, getting a good shot of both of them was nye impossible.

Sam I Am and other adventures

I was always disappointed as a kid when people made green eggs and ham and the eggs were scrambled. So, I attempted to make them fried. I used an insulin needle from work and injected green die into the yoke. They're a little tie-died, but I am happy with how they turned out.

I would eat them on some toast.
I do so like green eggs and ham! Thank you thank you! Sam I am!

This girl really does love to smile. Someone remarked once, "she must take really good pictures." (because she smiles so much)- and she does. :)
Sometimes I look like a rodent. But my kids are cute.
Aaron remodeled our bathroom last month- monkey themed. It is very cute- he did a great job. Those monkeys bob their heads using energy from the lights!
The kids and I along with my mom, sister Jen and her daughter Nani (fart that's a long group) all went to Pine Valley last week. It was lots of fun!!

I'd been taking so many pictures of Lenna that I wanted to let Daniel have some of the spotlight.

So, Daniel and Nani have a interesting relationship. Mainly, he annoys her-- on purpose. It's kind of like a big brother younger sister thing. He'll just stand right next to her knowing it will bother her and illicit a protest shriek. It's very funny.

So, the weather up there was freezing! On Wednesday it was incredibly windy and COLD. Thursday, it was okay in the morning (hence the above pictures), but by the afternoon, it was this weird soft hail stuff. Daniel was very excited and went outside without shoes and wasn't fazed at all. I had to make him come inside as his feet kept getting redder and redder.
It did eventually snow, and it was beautiful. It really was gorgeous, especially since the trees still had leaves on them. It was fun to be up there in October and having a "winter trip," cozying up to the fire, roasting marshmellows, and drinking hot chocolate.

We made a quick stop on the way home from Pine Valley to the St. George temple.

Last Saturday we actually had some time to spend as an entire family, so we walked the tunnels road down by the dam. The kids did pretty well (thank goodness for a nice double jogging stroller!).

Isn't this just fabulous? Have I ever told you that Daniel loves his dad? If I weren't enamored with the man myself, I might be a little jealous.

We have actually been up to even more the past 2 months (a trip to Bryce Canyon for Aaron and Daniel, a visit from the Somerhalders in their trailer that made Daniel's week), but our camera was MIA for a few weeks, so no pictures of said events.
