Halloween

Halloween was a lot of fun. We didn't do too much, just went over to my parents (they get a lot more trick-or-treaters, so it's more fun to go over there) and showed Daniel off to the great Grandparents. He has been fighting a cold and is starting to get better, so I didn't want to push it too much. I ate way too much candy and other yummy foods (i.e. Grandma Pete's fantastic caramel apples). Oh and also that day, I went scuba diving and probably perforated my eardrum, but that is a story for another time. Here are pictures of our adorable son (he really is so adorable, I take pictures of him all the time and just look at him and smile/laugh).

This was before Halloween, but the outfit is somewhat Halloween-y and he is so cute and smiling. Isn't it cute with all the cute baby things inside the skeleton. Thanks Uncle Danny!!!

This was his Halloween day outfit.

This is me trying to be creative. Notice the cute socks!!

Actual Halloween costume. My mom and I made it (okay, so mainly my mom, but I did actually sew some of it). He is quite possibly the cutest Winnie the Pooh of all time.

My Mom did the Pooh on the shirt. There are also Pooh's on his feet. I should have taken more pictures!!

Though this picture is fuzzy, I love it!

Picture of the whole family. Aaron was the Grim Reaper. His costume didn't scare Daniel at all. He was like, "whatever, are we going to move soon?"

This is for Julie, since I wasn't going to post it, but I know you want as much pictures as possible. I really should have taken more- I'll have to check out my mom's selection too.

He was much happier when we took the top off and even happier when we took the entire costume off (though he prefers being naked in the first place).

In keeping with tradition, here are pumpkins for Halloween 2009.

Mine, a cute and simple bat.

Aaron's- a complex and so cool Maleficent in her awesome dragonness.

Stacy and her cute witch. Doesn't it remind you of Wicked Witch of the West? "Elphaba- dreams the way we planned 'em, if we work in tandem. There's no fight we cannot win, just you and I defying gravity!" Sorry that just popped into my head. That music makes me happy.

Finally, not a Halloween post. I have been gushing about Daniel, but I need to gush about my fabulous husband. On Friday he surprised me and took me out- child free for a whole day and night and the next morning. We went shopping, saw a matinee, took a nap, went to dinner at the MGM, saw 'O' at the Bellagio, stayed at a nice hotel, slepped in, and ate breakfast at IHOP. It was so fun and relaxing and what I needed! (I have also been sick and needed a break- I know, it's only one baby, but I was whooped.) And, then I got to come home and see my fabulous adorable Pooh. I am the luckiest woman alive.

Thanks Lindsay for posting all the pictures. I must say that I have the cuttest grandbaby that ever was. Great job on the Pooh costume. Daniel looks so cute. Those pictures of him with the open mouth smiles give me flashbacks of Aaron at that age. But he still has a lot of Lindsay in him too. In one picture I think he is the spitting immage of Aaron and then in another you see a lot of Lindsay! Either way he is too cute!

Great job on the pumpkin carvings, once again. And... you do have a wonderful husband. Aaron has always be the Romantic one.

Daniel's costume is awesome! You guys did a great job. We have a "Winne the Pooh dressed as a Bumblebee" costume and I think yours is just as professional looking. Impressive.

Yay for a night out without the kiddo. Sometimes you just need that to re-charge your batteries!

Awesome! Very Cute Daniel. Homemade costumes are the best. What a wonderful kid-less getaway! I'm looking forward to my next kid-less getaway! Don't we have wonderful husbands?!

Aw! The costume looks amazing. What a cute kid. It really does look professional. I'm impressed.

I love all the smiling Daniel pictures, and the cute stomach onesie.

Also, how awesome is Aaron?! what a great surprise, and he did a great job planning it. You guys deserve a fun night+ out.

The pooh costume was very cute. I liked how happy he got though when you guys took the head piece off. The first picture of him though is so cute!

He was the cutest baby in the city that night, for absolute sure. He definely didn't get cold outside! And I love the T-shirts of the skeleton and Halloween cuteness. Halloween is such a fantastic holiday--and in Nevada we even make it a state holiday!! Nevada rocks for that alone! :) What all the adorable pictures don't show is Daniel's love of MOVING. I absolutely love how he leans his head in the direction he wants to move. If you hold him in one spot for too long (over 10 seconds) he starts leeeeaannning in some direction, usually toward an outside door. He's brilliant! And SO cute!!!

Cute cute cute little guy! AND you look fabulous! I wish we could see you guys more often. If you ever want a trip to DC...you can stay here! (or with Jen when they move out... :) )

The problem with Daniel is that he just keeps getting more cute by the second. Seriously mouth watering!
I didn't know you scuba-you must have been at Lake Mead?? Fun?? I've never been because I thought it would just be all brown n'stuff.
I'm glad you got away! Sounds super fun!
